Typical tasks and responsibilities

• Locating enemies by gathering intelligence through patrol and surveillance
• Engaging in close combat
• Seizing and holding ground from enemy forces
• Participating in offensive operations, like setting up ambushes or destroying enemy supplies
• Participating in defensive operations, like patrolling an area to prevent the enemy from entering
• Utilising the latest military technology like night vision, thermal imagery and nano drones
• Providing security to other Army units on the Battlefield
• Conducting humanitarian assistance missions to provide aid to communities affected by conflict or natural disasters
• Deploying on training exercises, international engagement activities and operations in Australia and overseas
• Maintaining a high level of readiness, physical fitness and mental resilience
