Further Information & Advice
- There is no experience required to join the Artillery Team – you’ll learn all you need to know during your Initial Employment Training (IET). During this training, the Artillery Team will be taught the basics like communications and Artillery procedures, before specialising in a specific role.
- As your career progresses, there are plenty of opportunities to upskill or take on new challenges. Artillery Operators can learn new gun positions or become qualified heavy vehicle drivers. Artillery Observers can learn how to operate small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or even support Special Forces. Artillery Systems Operators can upskill in the latest technologies or continue to develop skills in data, numeracy and communications.
